With nearly three decades in newspapers and television, I’ve helped people and businesses shape their narratives — crafting stories that open doors and create lasting relationships — while also delivering results for companies eager to do business in the Old Dominion. My work has taken me extensively across the Mid-Atlantic, building strong rapport in Virginia, North Carolina, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and parts of West Virginia. Along the way, my servant leadership with the National League of Cities deepened my relationships across the country, giving me both a local touch and a national reach.

I bring over a decade of elected leadership as Mayor and Councilman of Harrisonburg, where I proudly advocated for schools, small businesses, and neighborhoods across every class, race, and region. I’ve built relationships across Virginia that cut through silos and “isms” — rural and urban, Eastern and Western, Black and white, boardroom and church pew.
